Burning oil at latest autocross
« on: October 08, 2009, 05:36:57 PM »
I still am having trouble with oil not returning to sump (pan) if course has many left turns (too much tire grip) and RPM high (drive car hard)

Here is the latest smokey mess - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0p_F3snYdI4
Finished 23 out of 97 cars>

Those are Corvette wheels on the car.

I think compression is still ok.
When car turns left, oil flows  up from pan because tires grip so much.

Valve cover is completely full of oil!

One more thing, your car turned so sharp in every corner, great!! The front suspension looked a lot roll, wasn't it??

Yes, springs are 300% of stock.
But tires have a lot of grip when hot and that makes car roll.
Anti-sway bar is 28mm

Last Sunday:
First run, very cold tires and no traction. Pressed brakes and car would not stop.

I hit one cone and I dragged that cone through the rest of the course.
 >:(

I won my class but it was not pretty.

Only one more local event. It's getting colder here (high of 15C last Sunday)
